CVS Health Corp (NYSE:CVS) Unveils Long Live Skin Campaign As Part Of Skin Cancer Awareness

Long Live Skin is CVS Health Corp (NYSE:CVS) latest campaign that seeks to increase awareness around proper skincare in addition to skin health and sun safety. The integrated pharmacy-healthcare company kicked off the campaign with a video sharing hashtag on Twitter and Instagram where women can share advice.

Long Live Skin Campaign

The campaign essentially seeks to inspire women to share their best advice when it comes to skin care. By using short videos on the platform women can share their best beauty routines which other women can take advantage of, in a bid to remain healthy.

The Long Live skin campaign starts by focusing on proper skin safety given that May is Skin Cancer Awareness month. The campaign will continue throughout the summer with the pharmaceutical firm promising store signage with information and tips.

CVS has already teamed with Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:JNJ) and the American Cancer society to create exclusive content in its store for highlighting the importance of proper skin care. Johnson & Johnson has promised to donate $1 to the American cancer society for every Neutrogena or Aveeno purchased between June 18 and 24.

“Taking good care of your skin is part of taking care of your health, so we’re making it easier than ever for our shoppers to access the information and products they need, including those with greater skin health benefits”, said CVS Senior Vice president Judy Sansone.

To keep the conversation going on social media CVS is encouraging women to share their best advice using the #AdviceToMyYoungerSelf hashtag on Instagram and Twitter.

 CVS Commitment towards Skincare

The campaign does not come as a surprise given that CVS is the only retailer in the U.S to ban sun care products with SPF lower than 15 from its shelves. In addition, the retailer has added over 30 SPF spectrum brands that meet or exceed FDA standards.  The company has also promised to launch more products this year that have greater skin benefits.

CVS Health was unchanged in Monday trading session having rallied by 0.32% to close the day at $80.47 a share.
