Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

5.02(b) On September 12, 2017, Patrick D. Quarles, Executive Vice President and President, Acetyl Chain, Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain, notified Celanese Corporation (the “Company”) of his resignation as an officer of the Company to pursue other interests. The resignation is effective September 29, 2017. Mr. Quarles will continue as an employee until December 31, 2017, to facilitate a smooth transition.
