On September 28, 2017, Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. notified Caterpillar Inc. (the “Company”) of his decision, effective immediately, to resign as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors as a result of his recent confirmation by the U.S. Senate to the position of U.S. Ambassador to Russia. Mr. Huntsman’s decision to resign is not the result of any disagreement with the Company.
