On May 23, 2018, The AVX Board of Directors passed a resolution appointing Jeffrey Schmersal as Chief Operating Officer reporting to John Sarvis, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Schmersal has been Senior Vice President of Ceramic Products since April 2017,Divisional Vice President of Specialty Products from 2014 to 2017 and Global Business Manager of various Product Groups from 2006 to 2014. Prior to 2006, Mr. Schmersal held various Quality and Supply Chain positions. Mr. Schmersal has been employed by the Company since 1994.
